Elijah Adebimpe is an individual that is desirous of working in an environment that is interested in changing the world with innovative ideas and making life easier for humanity, an environment where great minds are encouraged and not discarded. An environment where “outside of the box” thinking is appreciated so as to make our world a better place. I strongly believe I am creative and hardworking.
I enjoy reading inspirational articles, talking about ideas that have the potential to reshape and make life easier for humanity. I find psychology very fascinating. I love engaging myself with talk shows that get me informed about the social side of the world. Documentaries that focus on technology and the future really interest me, I strongly believe technology is the future. I like to see myself playing a role in the tech world as a graphic designer in my spare time. I think a lot too and most times, this helps me see aids I never knew existed in solving basic problems. Music and dancing have always been a part of me. Lastly, I so much appreciate the internet, and its positive effects on humanity cannot be overemphasized.
I am currently pursuing a Master’s of science in Energy Economics at the University of Ibadan after possessing a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta.

ABOUT ALEXANDER’S WORK
Alexander is an experienced professional with demonstrated history of working in the Nigerian Power Industry. He is a team player skilled in negotiation, power contract administration and settlements, electricity economics, research, communication, analytical and presentation skills. Currently, he works as a Contracts Management Analyst in the Contracts Administration and Settlements (CAS) unit of the Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading (NBET) Plc. Abuja FCT. Some of his responsibilities include and are not limited to 1. assisting to develop settlement template spread sheets, database tools and desktop procedures required for performing invoice validation and/or invoice/settlement creation for any new contracts that are executed. 2. invoice validation including processing of settlement statements for payables and creating invoices for receivables. 3. provide support for managing the interactions with the System Operator on scheduling and dispatch issues to maximize the operations of NBET. 4. liaising with the Generation Companies to ensure preparation of specification and procedures relating to the provision of data to support metering data estimates and to support an audit trail for all aspects of the administration and operation of the power metering system. 5. performing metering verification with contracted parties and Market Operator to prevent disputed numbers. 6. conducting Capacity Test for Generation Companies in line with the System Operator’s Operating Procedure. 7. collaborating with other groups in procurement and IT as needed. 8. carry out researches for the Projects Research Department of NBET. 9. reviewing Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) reports for greenfield power projects.
Prior to his work at NBET, he was a post-graduate Intern in the same organization from February 2016 – July 2016 before he was called back to resume as a Staff due to his dedication and hard work. During his mandatory National Youth Service, he was posted to the Work-Study/Financial Aid Units, Student Affairs Division, University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Oyo State.
Alexander possess B.Sc. (Hons.) Economics and M.Sc. Energy Studies (Energy Economics) degrees from the University of Jos and University of Ibadan (Centre for Petroleum, Energy Economics and Law) in 2013 and 2016 respectively. He is currently enrolled for his doctorate studies in Energy Studies (Electricity Economics) at the University of Ibadan, Centre for Petroleum, Energy Economics and Law where he is researching the economic viability, risk assessments and socio-economic impacts of Isolated Mini-Grid projects in Nigeria. His paper titled: DEMAND FOR COMPRESSED NATURAL GAS VEHICLES IN BENIN, EDO STATE, NIGERIA was adjudged the best student poster at the Nigerian Association of Energy Economics NAEE Conference which held at the PTDF Conference Centre in April 2018. The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ) has pledged to provide him with some support on his Ph.D. dissertation.
